Nominees for Shout! Awards Are Out

Just to let you know that the inaugural Shout Awards--honoring the best in four industries of music, film, TV, and Radio-- are open for voting through http://www.shoutawards.com.my/

You will get to see what are the awards, who are the nominees, and start casting your votes online (and via sms). But here is the deal, you need to sign up for as a member of 8TV first.

Vote for FLY FM's The Pagi Show, Night Flight, and Must Have Music for your Favourite Radio Show.

Shout! for an Exciting New Award in Town

Hey guys,

I was in Penang over the weekend, and was catching up with friends and well, my girl. *Which by the way, i discovered a food treasure trove over my short weekend up north and am SO EXCITED to share it with you guys* I was telling them about this new Shout Award and how FLY FM's shows-- The Pagi Show, Night Flight, and Must Have Music-- are nominated for numerous categories. They told me that they read about it in my blog but felt as though they were left hanging because i didn't elaborate about the award.

About Shout! Awards
In a nutshell, the Shout! Awards is created to celebrate the journey of young Malaysian talents with the support of Malaysia’s voice. It is a 2.5 hour TV special dedicated to give recognition to those who have made great impact and creative breakthroughs in Malaysian music, film, TV, and radio. A first-of-its-kind awards show for these four industries, it aims to reward the most-deserving artists, actors, radio and TV faces, giving voice to all Malaysians to define the new cool.

Spanning 16 categories altogether with a total of 5 nominations in each, all nominations submitted will be determined by a panel of judges consisting of tastemakers and veterans representing the broadcast, music and film industry. Following which, the rest will go into the public’s hands, where they will be called to vote for their favorite personalities online on our website.

Nominees from FLY FM
That's right, FLY FM's Pagi Show, FLY FM's Night Flight, FLY FM's Must Have (with Hunny Madu) are all nominated for Best Radio Show category. Individually, both Phat Fabes and Hunny Madu are nominated for the Coolest Radio Announcer category.

I think the Shout! Awards is very long overdue. We have awards honoring actresses, actors, TV, Film, Music, and artists, but it never crossed my mind that there were not any awards honoring the best of radio station and program.

Kudos to the creative team behind Shout! Awards :)

The SHOUT! Awards Press Conference.

Yesterday, The Pagi show (Phat Fabes, Ben and Nadia) Amrita the Producer, Hafiz,Hunny Madu and I went to the Press Conference for the very first SHOUT! Awards.

It's basically this new award show that recognizes the best of the best in Radio, TV shows and of course the local music industry. One category off the top of my hat wearing head was the Coolest Radio Announcer Award which included Fara Fauzana, Phat Fabes, JJ, Rudy, Hunny Madu as nominees and off course they had a interesting category known as the works which included Hot Guy and Hot Chick Award. One of the nominees for Hot chick was Marion Counter. They also had an award for Best radio Show and Fly Fm's Pagi Show, Fly Fm's Night Flight, Fly Fm's Must Have (with Hunny Madu), Indie X and the Hot Fm's Am Krew were among those chosen as the final nominees.

Almost all the Nominees were there and I got to meet Maya Karin for the first time (but my phone's battery had died so no pictures)...and I'd have to say she looks way better in person.

But I got picture of Nas and his wife Sheahnee Lee from the Breakfast show and I cam-whoring.

The funny thing is that we never realised there was so much space left so we huddled together.

Now we got Couple who performed...

As well Jaclyn Victor and I were hat buddie for one whole day...
While we were waiting I decided to take pictures of the Pagi Show(Amrita, Phat Fabes and Nadia... not sure where Ben disappeared to) who were seated next to me...
And seated across the little Fashion Show like stage was Estranged and Adflin Shauki (the dude in a suit all the way to the right)
And here is Estranged (from the left Din, Andy, Rich and Hanafi) just hanging out after they finish eating and I was just going around snapping away :)
