I looked at her weirdly like "ok why would we be discussing Aqua?" she then told me that she was shocked that they had completely reinvented themselves and they sound darker....and well... hear it for yourself...Let me know if you found it as socking as I did :D

No Barbie Girl in this one...
I was discussing music with a good friend Tarachin a few days back and she had told me Aqua the band known for that infectious and memorable song known as the Barbie Girl song has come out with a new song.
I looked at her weirdly like "ok why would we be discussing Aqua?" she then told me that she was shocked that they had completely reinvented themselves and they sound darker....and well... hear it for yourself...Let me know if you found it as socking as I did :D

Thank you to all! and my journey along the "Transit of Venus" and the "Paku" along the way
I've met some really wonderful people recently who have hopped on my musical journey. First and foremost I would like to thank all that have supported the song Bintang which was done by C.Loco and I. All of the love that I get from each and every comment I channel into my creative zone to create bigger and better things for everyone to enjoy.
If you haven't heard it yet here is the unplugged version which is being nominated for The Bliss Award category for AVIMA.
As I continue on this journey I am joined by Kristie Addison from the band Transit of Venus, a well known New Zealand band. Here is she is rocking with Transit of Venus :
The next person to join me on this road to that wonderful Rock City where all dreams come true, is Riz whom was formerly from the band Paku. First time I met this guy was almost ages ago when I was 19 and we were in different bands, way before my radio and tv career. Even before my days as a FLY FM MyVi Trooper. He was notorious for wearing a cowboy hat during gigs... can you spot him in this music video?
More to come ladies and gentlemen, as the journey is not yet finished. More stories to tell and moments to experience. What keeps me going you might ask? It's the fact that you are all on the journey with me. Thank you very much each and everyone of you :D

Songs from another part of the world.
It's weird where you have moments where suddenly the world opens up to you and you find out that there are other colors, smells, taste and sounds different from the ones your used to.
I had my moment when I came across this music video by a rapper from Iran named Hichkas. Something about his lyrics and energy struck me. Have a listen and tell me what do you think?

I've been doing alot of travelling both for work and R&R especially during the chinese new year. I would like to give a shout out to all on facebook and twitter who've kept me company on lonely car or bus rides as i travel inter-state. You guys are the best.
Some of the things happening for me is that i would be hosting on the 6th of march the Band Aid for Haiti at laundry, the curve. It's an awesome collaboration between 2crank.com and Persatuan Karyawan Malaysia where all proceeds will be given to Mercy Malaysia and Unicef to help rebuild Haiti. So come on and rock out.
As i write this i'm looking out from an aeroline bus window and i have to admit there is something beautiful about all these hills and jungles. Like a lost city is hidden within them or something of the like. Maybe one day i'd explore them. Sigh...the mindless babblings of a sleep deprived inter-state journey man.
In other news i finally got a band together which is wonderful and already we are writing songs which will soon hit the airwaves. As well a collaboration between a Good friend of mine C. loco formerly of Poetic Ammo, will soon be launched in march. So for those who wonder what my singing voice sounds like, you'll be hearing it soon enough. Well til next time my friends...cheers:)

An article about VIMA...
Hey guys and gals,
There I came across another article about VIMA 2010 for you guys to read from NST.
MALAYSIA’S independent music scene is not one to be scoffed at.
Despite the continuous complaints of a lack of support for our homegrown artistes, our underground musicians are thriving on passion for their art.
That much was proven last Sunday, at the Voize Independent Music Awards, held at The Mist, Bangsar, KL. The show was slated to start at 7.30pm and guests, media, VIPs, judges and musicians all trooped in, ready to rock.
Aptly themed “Indiecent”, the night kicked off with beatboxing from Kraft, MC Vandal and Young Stunna; whose Daft Punk-esque stylings elicited roars from the crowd.
Poseidon Connection then took to the stage, amping us all up energetic guitar riffs and freakin’ cool vocals. Apparently at VIMA, “mother” is only half a word.
The MCs for the night were C Loco, Moe Nasrul and the lovely Adrea Abdullah, who kept us informed and entertained with their wacky one-liners. "

"As the emcees C Loco, Moenasrul, and Adrea took to the stage, they bantered, joked and joshed with one another, drawing chuckles from the crowd with their easy interaction. This trio proved to be the glue that held the night together, entertaining the crowd through the glitches and never letting up for even a minute."
