The race was anti-climax at its best (that's equator weather for you-- torrential downpour and excruciating heat-- we live on both ends of the spectrum).

But Jamiroquai's concert surely leaves everyone feeling satisfied. Man I've never been a fan of funk music, but after the performance, i think I'm a converted Jamiroquai's fan.

What an event!!!!~!!!!

The Qualifer had just ended and here are the latest results:

1) Jenson Button from Brawn GP with 1:35.181

2) Jarno Trulli from Toyota 1:35.273

3) Sebastian Vettel from Red Bull Racing 1:35.518

Now for the favorites:

Kimi Raikkonen is in 9th place

Fernando Alonso is in 10th

Lewis Hamilton is in 13th place.

Why are the top guns doing so poorly? One of the reasons is change in regulations which affected the general design of the car as well as the use of slick tyres instead of grip tyres which had been used for the last 10 seasons. The new regualtions decreased the downforce of the F1 cars and decrease turbulence making the car easier to over take but made the focus on the skill of the drivers and not the power of the engine.

Whatever it is, it seems like a new dawn maybe on the horizans where new teams are taking the top three places. I guess we would only find out in tomorrows race at 5pm. I'll update with more info then.

Button is looking set to show that the win at Melbourne is no fluke while Ferrari and McLaren will be looking to reclaim the throne that Brawn GP so comfortably control this season.

Unfortunately, Nabilah and Loco could not snagged this Media Pass since it has my face on it.

Today i had a mind blowing experience. Now before this i was never really crazy about Formula One (F1) Grand Prix but only a few seconds into Sepang and i wasn't even out of my car yet i heard roaring sounds. Instantly my heart started racing and i wanted to get closer to find out exactly what is that amazingly weird yet powerful sound.

It was the sound of the F1 cars making their practice run for today. The News team and I was escorted via media shuttle to the media center which is just above the Pit Stop! We got to see all the action and tomorrow from 5pm onwards we will see the real deal.

I instantly called Emily and asked her, "Guessed where i am at, babe?". It took her awhile to recognize the roaring, zooming sound on the background. But the moment she did, she started going a little crazy and passed her phone to her colleagues to get her colleagues to have a listen to the sound.

I guess I'm now officially a fan. I'm going to get shirts, hats, gloves, and all the she-bang *lol*

No, seriously. I'll even get a F1 car four-post bed.

My girl, her twin, Alex and girlfriend came all the way down from Penang to watch 8TV's One In A Million (OIAM) Season 3 live in Sri Pentas 2, Plaza Alam Sentral just last friday.

I wasn't feeling really well (was having awful fever) but since my girl was in town and her gang wanted to watch OIAM live, and since i didn't have the pass, i had to basically gatecrashed the show by asking one of the 8TV crews to grant me and my troops entry.

It wasn't that hard to get it last year. Emily and i went practically every week last season to support my cousin Iz. Not even once Emily was asked to show her pass. Mine was a different story. I was on duty as a Fly FM Trooper. Troopers had to give freebies and conduct games during commercial breaks.

But this time, the show has a big surge of audience, mostly supporting Rizu, Tomok, Amylea, and Fify. We were asked to sit at Simon's area (he doesn't have that many supporters).

It was my first time watching OIAM 3. After the show, i was convinced that this is by far the best season ever. Watching Esther live in the studio with industrial-grade sound systems is different than on TV. You missed out a lot on her vocal range. Rizu's voice was big and his falsetto is flawless. He is AWFULLY small. And Esther isn't that big a girl. In fact, she is just nice.

Tomok just plain oozing stage presence. I cannot believe that it is the same Tomok from the annoying New Boys. Amylea's voice actually has more power than i hear on YouTube. Simon...well, he just lacks the X-factor but he has good voice.

The competition is really tough as all of the contestants have to show their creativity in making their chosen songs originally theirs.

Based on the show i watched last week, here is my prediction:

1. Tomok
2. Esther
3. Amylea

This three is going to be in the finals.

Next to be eliminated:
1. Simon (this week)
2. Nine (next week)
3. Aweera (next next week)

4. Rizu (next next next week)

The Cake Looks Damn Good!

Just came back from Sepang F1 Circuit to collect my media tag. The experience is nothing short of awesome. I was standing one level above the pit stop to witness it all.

I'll blog a post about it when i get my photos ready. Meanwhile, here is a picture of the cake i'm getting my little sister, Hana. Well this isn't the original cake. But i have asked for my baker/artist friend, Mandy Maung-Gilete, to design my little sister's fondant birthday cake to look something similar to this. Emily just told me over the phone that Mandy and her thought about giving the cake some additional edible figurine (that looks like Hana) and gift tag.



Girls, i can't thank you enough. That is a lovely, personal and unique touch to a cake.

If you guys listened to the Pagi Show last Friday, a day before the Earth Hour, you guys may have heard Earth Hour Ambassadors Stephanie Chai and Lina Teoh on air with us, dark, in the studio.

According to The Star newspaper, electricity consumption dipped by some 550MW during Earth Hour on Saturday. This is equivalent to the consumption of about 14 million 40-watt fluorescent bulbs. However, demand picked up rapidly at 9.30pm to follow the normal Saturday night pattern.

Two questions i have in mind: what happens now that Earth Hour is over? Will we be inspired to continue and do more?
